The Goulburn River is located directly at your door and runs through the town of Jamieson and is known for its population of wild brown trout, rainbow trout, small redfin and murray cod.
The nearby Jamieson River, the Delatite River and the Howqua River are also all good options for fly fishing. The Delatite River and the Howqua River are known for their rainbow trout. The King River is home to a variety of fish species including brown trout, rainbow trout, redfin and mountain galaxias

Horse Riding

Hiking
Hiking is the perfect way to explore the area. There’s a variety of walks in Jamieson itself and if you feel like travelling a little further, Mt Buller is well worth the drive offering spectacular bushwalking, mountain bike riding and stunning scenery.
Jamieson River Walk: This 5km walk follows the Jamieson River and offers beautiful views of the river and the surrounding forest.
Mt Terrible Track: This 11km walk takes you up to the summit of Mount Terrible, offering stunning views of the Jamieson Valley.
Long Tunnel Extended Gold Mine Walk: This 3km walk takes you through the historic Long Tunnel Extended Gold Mine and offers a glimpse into Victoria's gold mining history.
Jamieson Lookout: This short walk takes you up to a lookout point offering stunning views of the Jamieson Valley and the surrounding mountains.
Tomahawk Hut Walk: This 6km walk takes you through the forest to the historic Tomahawk Hut, which was built in the 1890s.
Kevington Loop Track: This 14km walk takes you through the forest and along the Goulburn River, offering beautiful views of the river and the surrounding mountains.
